WHAT COMMUNITY MEANS TO US
Whatever this project is and whatever it becomes, the more it's in your hands, not ours, the better it will be. So our job is to let you in. Not just as a follower on social media. Or a subscriber to an email newsletter we haven't even thought about producing yet. But as someone who can Do Kind $h*t. And do it in your own unique way. Here we overshare all our news and also create sub-groups for different communities within our project, such as grantees, storytellers and content creators.
Virtual Meetups
Once a month host a 1 hour 'Drop Dead Generous Circle Thingy' to share stories from those being outrageously kind with $500. Anyone can join.

Can I volunteer?
At this stage we don't have any formal process in place for people to volunteer, but we'd love to hear from you if you're interested in doing so. Drop john@dropdeadgenerous.org an email and he'll come back to you for a chat. If you're seriously thinking about this then can we just take a moment to say thank you, even for the thought.

Why are you only on Instagram?
It's a great question. We're only there for the meantime, as during this early stage of the experiment our focus is on funding the best ideas we can. In March 2025 we'll start the wonderful job of storytelling what people are doing with the money, and at that point we'll launch across other platforms.
What's the story behind this project?
We've had a stab at explaining everything on our About page. Anything that's not there will be said eventually on our Instagram, we're sure.
